New Breathalyzer under review

It is called the alcolock, and should stop drunk drivers starting their car engines. This is currently under review, and is thought to be a popular new device to prevent drink driving. Just before you turn the ignition key you will be warned by a beeper sound, which should remind you to blow into a tube. You are them forced to obey, and if your alcohol limit is too high a red light will flash on the dashboard and immobilise the car. This device looks very high-tech, and fits into the car radio slot. From there you have a small mouthpiece, which the driver must blow into. A black box recorder will register every time the driver tries to start the car and the alcolock prevent him. The only way too get around this would be to ask a sober friend to drive, or just wait until you have sobered up. Alcolocks has not proven to be completely foolproof. In was found in a test conducted in Holland that a sober researcher had to blow into the lock 75 times before he could get the car started. The researchers concluded that the alcolocks were “not to be recommended for asthmatics”.
